Company to invest $5.1 million, create 51 jobs

NASHVILLE — Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with Bath Fitter Manufacturing, Inc. officials announced today the company will expand in Springfield. Bath Fitter will invest $5.1 million and create 51 jobs in Robertson County.

“It says a lot about our state when a company chooses to expand here, and I want to thank Bath Fitter for expanding in Robertson County,” Boyd said. “With over 333,000 Tennesseans employed in the manufacturing sector, it is great news that Bath Fitter will be adding jobs to this steadily growing sector. Thanks, Bath Fitter, for creating these jobs for our Team Tennessee workforce and I look forward to our future partnership.”

Bath Fitter Manufacturing was founded in 1984 in Montreal, Canada. The company specializes in manufacturing tub and shower enclosures that are installed to create a new space without extreme construction required. These tub and shower liners are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities located throughout the U.S.

“Our company continues to mature and grow, and we have ambitious plans to be even better in the future, a company we can all be proud of,” Bath Fitter CEO Glenn Cotton said.

Bath Fitter will launch its new Tub/Shower Door Department in October, and with this expansion, the company will be better equipped to take on this new department.

“We are pleased that Bath Fitter is enjoying success in Springfield and has chosen to invest in expanding their facility in our community,” said Margot Fosnes, president & chief economic development officer at the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce. “They have been a tremendous corporate citizen in their 10 years in Robertson County, investing in our education and economic development initiatives and enabling their employees to give back to the community in countless ways, from recycling to food drives. We look forward to the new quality jobs that this project will bring to Springfield.”

“TVA and Springfield Department of Electricity congratulate Bath Fitter on its decision to expand in Springfield,” TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley said. “We, along with Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, Robertson County and the City of Springfield, celebrate Bath Fitter’s continued success and commitment to grow in the Valley.”
