Memphis Regional Megasite videos receive highest honor

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development’s campaign for the Memphis Regional Megasite has been awarded three 2016 Telly Awards, one silver, the highest honor, and two bronze.

The Telly Awards honors the very best in film and video productions, including online video content and local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs. The Memphis Regional Megasite campaign was chosen from over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents.

“It is such an honor that the Memphis Regional Megasite campaign has been given this prestigious award,” TNECD Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “The Memphis Regional Megasite is one of Tennessee’s best assets for economic development, and this campaign has done a wonderful job promoting it.”

“We are so pleased that the Memphis Regional Megasite campaign has been awarded three Telly awards,” Assistant Commissioner for Communications and Marketing Clint Brewer said. “A lot of hard work went into creating this campaign to make sure that it showcased how important the Memphis Regional Megasite is for the state Tennessee, and it is a great honor that this campaign has been given this award.”

The Memphis Regional Megasite campaign was awarded three Telly Awards; one silver award for the Memphis Regional Megasite “Heart” Video, and two bronze awards for the Memphis Regional Megasite Technical Video. The videos were produced in partnership with Designsensory, a design agency located in Knoxville.

The videos have two different missions. The video “Heart” forms an emotional connection with potential business prospects by highlighting the authentic workforce, infrastructure and quality of life that is only found in West Tennessee. The Technical video includes an aerial tour of the site and region by highlighting key advantages with motion graphics and highlights the full potential of what West Tennessee and the Megasite have to offer.

This honor could not have been accomplished without the help of HTL Advantage, both the Jackson and Memphis Chambers of Commerce and Designsensory.

This is not the first advertising industry award for the Memphis Regional Megasite campaign. This year, Designsensory won a gold ADDY (American Advertising Award) in the Knoxville market for Integrated B2B Ad campaign.

Additionally, in 2015 TNECD won a Gold ADDY Award in the Nashville Market for its work on the “Mastered in Tennessee” ad campaign, which was the first award won by TNECD for in-house work in the department’s history. TNECD was also nominated for a Midsouth Regional Emmy Award in the the Community Service category in 2014 for its work on the Bigger. Bolder. Better video.
