It’s officially the holiday season and it’s time to celebrate. What better way to get into the spirit of the holidays than taking a look at twinkling holiday lights with family and friends? All across Tennessee, you can find some of the best lights around. With so many options to choose from, we made it easy for you and picked out top 10 holiday light displays throughout the state.


Gaylord Opryland Resort: Get in the spirit of the season and travel to Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland resort and discover more than 3 million dazzling Christmas lights around every bend of the resort. Don’t miss the magic of the new lights and festive décor Santa’s elves have added for 2017.

Let it Glow Light Show: Discovery Park of America opened the “Let it Glow Light Show” on November 24. Hop in the car and head over to Discovery Park of America in Union City where you’ll see thousands of lights on display. You can even sing along to your favorite Christmas songs and some remixes with the custom radio station.

Enchanted Garden of Light at Rock City: Marvel at this award-winning holiday lighting extravaganza located in the heart of Chattanooga on Lookout Mountain. Music, food and magical decorations are a few reasons to See Rock City this season. It's a Chattanooga Christmas lights holiday tradition and a winter wonderland.

Holiday LIGHTS at Cheekwood: Celebrate the joy of the holiday season during Holiday LIGHTS at Cheekwood. One of Nashville’s favorite traditions returns with one million lights illuminating the gardens for the prettiest winter stroll of the season.

Speedway in Lights: Presented by Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, the Pinnacle Speedway in Lights Powered by TVA is the largest holiday light show in the South. Speedway in Lights benefits programs and organizations supporting the needs of children in the Tri-Cities region by producing one of the largest holiday light shows in the country. The light show includes a route of approximately four miles, two million lights and entertainment for thousands.

Dancing Lights of Christmas: The Dancing Lights of Christmas returns for its 8th consecutive season. Wilson County and the James E. Ward Agricultural Center will host the Dancing Lights of Christmas this season. The new location comes with new displays and an extended drive route, some new Christmas tunes and an expanded Fox17 Santa's Village. With over one and a half million lights dancing to the music on the radio, each visit will be a new experience.

Christmas Lights at the Memphis Zoo:  What is better than a winter wonderland? A wild winter wonderland. Snow is back at this year’s SunTrust Zoo Lights at the Memphis Zoo. You’ll see thousands of LED holiday lights, snow in the Courtyard, an all-new ride, the return of the 90-foot LED Ferris wheel, Santa in his shop, live reindeer and much more.

Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights: Visitors can soak up the spirit of the Gatlinburg Winter Magic season from the comfort of a Gatlinburg Trolley by taking the relaxing Trolley Ride of Lights. The specially designated trolleys carry guests on a memorable journey through downtown Gatlinburg and Hwy. 321, allowing everyone to experience the magical wonder of Gatlinburg Winter Magic.

Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland: Come see over 1.5 miles of custom-made displays and dance to the music played over the radio in your car in perfect synchronization. Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland has locations across the southern U.S. and two locations in Tennessee including Jackson.

Lights on Sparrow Street: Lights on Sparrow Street is a holiday tradition located in Spring Hill, Tennessee. This marks the 5th year that Spring Hill will put on its computerized Christmas display with over 20,000 twinkling lights.
